Before you can send texts, your SMS sender needs a one-time approval. It is required by carriers to prevent spam.

In this article you will submit your SMS sender for approval and know what to expect.

Before you start

  • Your business details: legal name, address, website and a short description of what you will text about.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings → SMS sender identity and click Start verification.
  2. Fill in your business details and how you plan to use SMS (for example, promotions and order updates).
  3. Submit the verification and follow the status and any requests for additional information shown in the app.
  4. Return to SMS sender identity to review the sender status. Complete the required verification before sending.
Give accurate details. Requests are reviewed by the phone carriers, and mismatched information is the most common reason for rejection.
