Send emails from your own domain
Connect your store's domain so emails come from your own address and reach the inbox more reliably. It takes a few records where you manage your domain.
In this article you will connect your domain and verify it.
Before you start
- Access to the place where your domain is managed (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, Shopify Domains and so on), or someone who has it.
Steps
- Go to Settings → Email sender identity and click Authenticate domain.
- Enter the domain you want to send from, for example yourstore.com.
- The app shows a short list of records: a name and a value for each. Copy each one exactly as shown into your domain provider, or send the list to the person who manages your website.
- Return to Sendvio and recheck verification. DNS changes may take time to propagate; follow the status shown for each record and retry after your provider has applied the changes.
- When verification is complete, confirm your sender address and send a test email.
If your domain was bought through Shopify, the records are added in Shopify admin → Settings → Domains.
Copy each record exactly as shown in your account. If verification still fails, contact support with the domain and the record statuses; do not share your domain-provider password.
Try these steps in Sendvio
Enter your Shopify store name to open Authenticate domain in Sendvio, inside your Shopify admin. It opens in a new tab, so you can keep this guide alongside it. Shopify may ask you to sign in.
