Create an automation

Pick what should trigger the automation, start from a ready-made template, and turn it on when you are happy with it.

In this article you will create an automation from a template and switch it on.

Before you start

  • A verified account. For automations that send SMS, an approved SMS sender.

Steps

  1. Open Automations → Create automation.
  2. Choose Marketing for email and SMS journeys based on customer behavior. Choose Transactional SMS for order and shipping notifications.
  3. For Marketing, choose a workflow from the template gallery, such as Welcome, Abandoned checkout, Winback or Back in stock.
  4. Configure the trigger, delays, conditions and messages. Check the audience and any discount before enabling the workflow.
  5. Review the workflow status and turn it on when it is ready. Open its logs and run history to check activity.
Templates are a starting point, not a rule. Removing a step or shortening a waiting time is perfectly fine.
