Who you can message (and who you can't)

Marketing messages may only go to people who agreed to receive them. This is both the law and what keeps your emails out of Spam.

In this article you will know what counts as consent and how Sendvio applies it.

Steps

  1. A person is a subscriber when they agreed to receive your marketing: they ticked the box at checkout, signed up through a popup or form, or confirmed a double opt-in email.
  2. Sendvio only sends marketing to subscribers. Someone who bought from you but did not tick the box is a customer, not a subscriber, and does not receive campaigns.
  3. Email and SMS consent are separate. Agreeing to emails does not mean agreeing to texts.
  4. Every message includes an unsubscribe link (or STOP for SMS). When someone uses it, the app stops messaging them immediately; you do not need to do anything.
  5. Never import lists of people who did not ask to hear from you. Spam complaints damage the reputation of your domain and can get sending suspended.
